Living Single Before God

Paul said, "He that is unmarried careth for the things that belong to the Lord, how he may please the Lord." 1 Corinthians 7:32b As a single person we believe that you need to understand the importance of using your time, talents and association to be a witness for the glory of God. There are many important things that you need to know as a single person so that you can live holy before God and enjoy your singleness during your time of being single. Being single does not mean that you are alone; being alone is what Adam was in the garden but you are never alone. Neither should you feel lonely.  Let's look at some definitions that will give us more claity on this subject.

ALONE = By one's self, unaccompanied, unaided
LONELY = Friendless, lost, abandoned
LONE = Single, isolated, solo, distinct

You should never see yourself as alone nor lonely. You are not alone because you have family, friends and also your church family. Adam was alone because there was no other human being beside him, he was by himself, unaccompained and unaided. Do not allow the enemy to make you think that you are ever alone. Not only do you have family, friends and your church family but you also have God the Father with you and Jesus said that when he went away he would send the Comforter which is the Holy Ghost. He said,
"And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he my abide with you for ever, Even the Spirit of truth,: whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." John 14:16-18

Neither should you allow the enemy to make you feel lonely because lonely means that you are friendless, lost and abandoned. You are not lost nor abandoned, you have family and your church family that cares for you more than you know. What you may need to do is begin to show yourself friendly towards your family or your church family. The Bible says, "A man that hath friends must show himself friendly." Proverbs 18:24

As a single person you are simply lone, meaning single, isolated, solo or distinct. This is your time to learn as a single person how to care for the things of God. Learning to walk in your singleness without loneliness will cause you to enjoy your life without having to have someone else to make this happen, which keeps you from making marriage or companionship your ultimate goal in life. We have the answers for finding or being found by your Soul Mate, but while you are waiting we want you to know how to enjoy your single life.

The greatest benefit of being single is that you can care for the things of God in a way married couples cannot, without the distractions. You can be holy both in body and in  spirit. You can use your time, talent and money in a way that will be pleasing to God and enable you to have a successful and prosperous single life. The proper order as a single person in life is first, God, second, Self, third Church and last Job. When you have your life in this order then you will find your single life whole and undivided.
